STORY OF NIYANA: Where ancient insight meets modern leadership for a more conscious, heart-led world
In 2007, under the glow of a full moon in Myanmar’s Mount Popa, I joined a meditation at Taung Kalat Temple. There, in the stillness of meditation, I met a young monk—only 16 or 17 years old—whose presence radiated profound wisdom and serenity far beyond his years.
We spoke for hours, and in that timeless exchange, I felt as though I was speaking with an old soul. When I finally asked for his name, he told me it was Niyana—a word that means” the wise one, the guide, the path”
At the time, I thought, If I ever have a daughter, I will name her Niyana. Years later, that thought transformed. I realised that Niyana was not only a name—it was a calling. If I ever created a business devoted to healing, to bringing forth the feminine energy that nurtures open hearts and restores balance, it would bear this name.
And so, Niyana was born—not as a person, but as a mission
